Flying Face is an Instagram filter game. It resembles the popular mobile game called Flappy Bird for iOS and Android. If you played this game, you already know what to expect. However, there is a small but significant difference between the two. This Flappy Bird-like Instagram filter is played using your face., more accurately, your eyes. To control the movement of Flappy Bird you need to blink. Blinking with your eyes will move the character up a bit. To keep it up flying, you’ll have to continuously blink.
Blinking is a cool way to play the game but it’s not one that I found comfortable, at least not when playing a game for a long period of time. The good news is that most of you will probably won’t have a long gameplay session as this game is very difficult, let alone playing it with blinking and not using touch gestures.
The other cool thing about this game is that your face will be anchored to the bird, so instead of having a bird face, you’ll have your face. This is done because when playing the game, the camera is facing the player, which is you and it continues to track and facial changes as you play.
We are not over yet. This game can also be played with two people locally on the same device at the same time. Once another person enters the frame, another bird will spawn on the screen and you can blink and play together at the same time. This is a super cool idea that makes the game even more interesting and unique compared to other Instagram augmented reality games.
